How it Works

Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems utilize solar panels with semiconductor materials that when in contact with sun energy produces electrical energy. This produced electrical energy is direct current (DC) and is then converted to alternating current (AC) which can then be utilized in everyday appliances. The energy can also be stored in batteries allowing for energy storage for rainy/cloudy days as well as providing resiliency for longer periods of time and emergencies such as power outages and natural disasters.
